Laurel TV's Tamika Smith interviews Dianne about her research into Sergeant Issac Hall's history.

Grave Site Dedication

After his service in the Civil War, Isaac Hall settled with his newly freed family in the town of Devon, Pennsylvania located about 30 miles from Philadelphia. He made a living as a carpenter and raised 3 children. By all accounts he led a full life and was a pillar in his community. He passed away on July 12, 1902 at the age of 66.

One of the great moments in Dianne's search was when she located the original church Isaac attended and the site of his final resting place. With the help of the AMA community of Devon and the Veterans Administration, Dianne was able to purchase and dedicate a gravestone to her great-great- Grandfather

On October 4, 2014 a dedication ceremony was held in the town of Devon, Pennsylvania honoring Sergeant Isaac Hall and a new gravestone was placed on his grave.
